On the 12th January 2013 at 7pm it had no bitter to sell. Courage best had run out, although the badge on the pump was still displayed, and the Doombar had not settled.
About six locals around the main dark bar, the restaurant area was utterley deserted.
The best area of the pub is the stone fireplace, which has a billiard table now blocking it.
It lets the whole village down.
