Shockingly bad customers service. Turned us away because we arrived 8 minutes after kitchen closed. Still plenty of tables empty and had to wait to be approached. No apology, no exemption, no offer and we had made it clear that we specifically came just to try out the sandwiches. Really a bit upsetting, would not recommend.

Excellent selection of Real Ales and for local Cider enthusiasts Thatchers. Real Ales. Lagers and Ciders at realistic prices, no rip off here. Drinks complemented with an attractive food menu ranging from large baps with selection of traditional fillings to Chill Con Carne, Casserole and good ole Bangers and Mash to name but a few. Staff very friendly and competent, we visited this lunchtime and had a thoroughly good time. Recommended to those who enjoy a real and 'proper' pub experience.
