Bistro La Barrique

Although the outside of the restaurant really needs a face-lift, the interior is lovely. The staff had a great attitude and the food - we had the 'petits plats' option - was fantastic. Good value for money too although the house wine could have been at a cheaper starting price. We had a Chilean red wine for £19 that was excellent and served at the proper room temperature (I can't abide cold red!). We didn't have the best table as my head was practically next to the till! However, the whole experience was enjoyable, great food, buzzing atmosphere, lovely friendly service and a really nice surprise once you step through the door! I will definitely be supporting this local in the future.

Our favourite is the Duck Confit and the Beef one. Can't remember what they were called though but they were cooked to perfection. Tastefully decorated and service is friendly.

I would recommend this place to couples and groups of friends for a cosy, intimate fun and refreshing dining experience.

It's a real breath of fresh air to find a new restaurant in Bristol that serves top notch food. Go and experience this for yourself!
