Myself and my family have been eating here for about 28yrs. We generally come here a few times a year and have had lots of birthday celebrations etc, and i can honestly say we have never had a bad meal. Yes we may of had to wait for courses when they have been busy but at least you know it has been cooked fresh! No matter how busy they are they always find us a table (if we have not booked) The staff are very friendly and always make time for a natter! my 15yr old daughter has been coming since she was born and it is always her first choice when we say were shall we go for something to eat. We love our favourite resturant, just wish we still lived round the corner.

I'm not sure what the people here writing reviews are talking about: we live just round the corner from this restaurant, so my review is based on more than one visit, which their's clearly aren't!

The staff are exceptionally friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy. I've never had any problems getting a table.

The best thing is the pizza, which as someone who has spent several months in Italy I would say is really of an excellent standard: large pizzas with thin, crispy bases.

The pasta is perhaps a bit more the usual fare, but not bad at all.

Thoroughly recommend it for good value and high quality food.

Absolutely horrendous. We had booked a table and were told it was just being wiped down for us, forty five minutes later we sat down! and then it wasn't even properly made, we had to ask for serviettes when our starters finally came. another twenty minutes after we sat down i had had to stop a waiter and ask them to take our order. no apologies for the wait we were just told the starters would only take ten minutes (which they didn't). a wine carafe was dirty, it looked like it had seeds or something on the inside. the waitress told me it was just cork and went to walk off and i had to ask them to change it. my food was lukewarm when it finally arrived and someone else had lasagna that you had to search for the meat in.

shockingly bad service throughout. would recommend avoiding this place.

Went to La Campagnuola a few weeks ago, seemed nice on entering- looked busy, nice decor and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

It took forever for our starters to arrive and when they did they were not what we were expecting at all. My 'mussels in chilli and tomato sauce' was more like tasteless soggy blobs floating in Heinz tomato soup.

The main courses were bland, tasteless, and overcooked also.

We were really dissappointed after having read good reviews about the place, and I am not usually fussy about my food at all.

Waiting staff were lovely but think they may need a new chef.
