Went to the Mumtaz from the Tortworth Court Hotel because it was getting a bit late and we knew that other resturants would be closing. It was a mistake as the owner/manager nearly had a fit when we walked in at 10.30 even though the closing time was down for 11.30.

Rude service ordered starter of onion bhaji and he insisted it was all served together. Once we finished main course the bill was set on the table PDQ.

Food was ok but we felt very rushed and we would not be back. He was very rude to the staff as well and we could hear (not to say it would have been ok if we didn't hear, of course).

The people working here are total perverts and whistle at female customers! Very unprofessional!

A genuine Indian restaurant, Gujarati apparently. Really good pickles and curries, the Madras in particular is nice and rich. Nice staff; quiet relaxed atmosphere.
