The Sands is a Lebanese Restaurant serving the most delicious food; Lebanese cuisine relies on the freshest of ingredients so that the flavours are wonderful and having travelled in The Lebanon extensively, I can confirm that it is the best food I have tasted outside of that country!
The restaurant is situated in a cellar like place with nooks and crannies giving it an intimate feel; for warm nights, there is also an outside seating area. The menu is extensive and ranges from simple hummus and couscous to some exotic Lebanese specialities, not forgetting the lovely (and more-ish) desserts with honey, nuts and Rose water! The prices are reasonable and the quantities are generous however, the wine list is a little on the pricey side. The welcome is friendly and the service is unobtrusive but very good.
For a different dining experience you cannot go wrong!
