I was going to give this 4.5 stars, but then that would be churlish given how much I enjoyed it, and so 5 it is. Given the subject matter, I was having trouble understanding beforehand how this film could get such raving reviews. But such is the skill of the filmmaker, James Marsh, and the infectious (sometimes fanatical) enthuisiasm of his subject interviewees. I haven't laughed this hard at the cinema for a very long time, it was an absolute joy to watch. It's also suddenly and unexpectedly emotional in places, as well as occasionally poignant. Not bad for a story where noone dies and noone gets hurt. The historical footage combined with voiceover and splendid music was hypnotic, especially the finale event at the WTC. How do you get cinematography that good from grainy archive photos and cinefilm? Profoundly enjoyable, and a masterpiece of film making.
