We (my wife and I) really enjoyed The Mall hospitality and food. The service was polite and so much better than previous reviews.

We would be pleased to recommend the Sunday lunch - it was simply great food in a relaxed atmosphere - just right for a Sunday.

3 of us went there last Sunday for lunch, the guys ordered Pork and I had Beef (£11.50, expensive for a pub right?). My meal arrived first, med/rare meat, looked good! I took it back to the kitchen as it was completely cold. The waiter said he'd bring me another one. The two pork meals arrived. Both were unsatisfactory, overcooked broccoli and roast potatoes that looked the part but were soggy on the outside and mushy in the middle. Carrots were good, yay! Eventually my meal came back, yes, the same meal, same horseradish that I had put on the side but now it had been microwaved and the beef was now overcooked and the broccoli had turned brown on the tips....yuk! IT WAS HORRIBLE, TRULY NASTY! I complained to the girl who cleared the table and naively expected someone to come to apologise...doh, we'd already paid...no one came!I give The Mall a single star as the lager was good but we won't be going there again and I highly recommend that others don't chose it as a place to eat either!

Great pub, really nice people. Open mic night on Monday nights is a must to be seen.
