Set in the oldest building in Weston-super-mare, the Old Thatched Cottage is a enchanting restaurant which serves a delightful menu of British and Mediterranean cuisine. The ideal place for a intimate and romantic meal for two.
A thoroughly enjoyable dining experience Mothers Day 2011 that the entire family enjoyed. Perfect ambience, exceptionally friendly, service excellent and the food sensational. A selection of food chosen from the Sunday and the A'la Carte menu, all plates cleared, what better message to send to the chef, 7 very satisfied, full customers. We would highly recommend this restuarant without any hesitation, it has everything :) Will definitiely be visiting again!

We have visited this restaurant every year for the last sixteen years when in Weston because their Steak Au Poivre is second to none but the reason I deducted one star is the dreadful chips. They taste as if they have been left over from the attached chip shop and warmed up several times, I once asked if anyone had complained about them and was assured that everyone loves them. I'm not convinced because they really are awful - but we will still endure them for the sake of the steak.
